Description:
Easy route that runs through pastures and simple paths, with some steep areas. We leave the EX208 to turn left onto the EX390 towards Cáceres. At the exit of the village we will turn right along the Calleja de Torrique and the Camino de Torrique. Between the two paths is the Arroyo Retuerta, which can be difficult to ford during the rainy season. Once we arrive at the Jarallana farm, around kilometer 6.4, we will turn right onto the Cañada Real Trujillana or Cañada de la Plata. We will continue along this track, cross the EX390 and arrive at the entrance to Finca el Águila. From this point we will retrace our steps to the gate of the Finca Peñahincada, where we will turn left to take the road from Torrejón to Serradilla. This will take us back along an irregular road full of slides to Torrejón el Rubio.
From the tourist point of view we will develop our route through the pastures that make up the Biosphere Reserve of Monfragüe, we will enjoy excellent views of the Salto del Gitano, the Sierra de las Corchuelas with the Castle of Monfragüe, the Sierra de Santa Catalina and the flight of birds of prey.
