Simple hiking route, which starts from the South Visitor Center of Monfragüe, to go by dirt tracks (except for a short stretch of trail) to the “Puente Viejo” and return by the same way, in just over an hour of quiet and attractive walk. This route can also be done by mountain bike, with only one difficulty: the significant slope of the road in the last meters downhill to the Old Bridge and then uphill on the way back.. Under the name “Centro Sur de Visitantes de Monfragüe” (Monfragüe’s South Visitor Center), the various interpretation and visitor centers that have been built under the impulse of the Torrejón el Rubio Town Council have been grouped together. The Center’s philosophy is totally new. Buildings have been constructed and rehabilitated to house innovative tourist infrastructure in the National Park and the Monfragüe Biosphere Reserve, so that visitors to the natural area will find a new offer with attractions that were previously little known by locals and tourists. The Center is composed of a Tourist Information Office, four interpretive tourist centers, a Mountain Bike Center and a picnic area.
